A two-sided mobile marketplace connecting buyers and sellers, with payments, in-app chat, and reviews built in from day one.
The brief. A founder needed a cross-platform marketplace where sellers could list items and buyers could browse, message, and pay — without maintaining separate iOS and Android codebases.
The approach. We built a single React Native codebase for both platforms, with a Node.js backend handling listings, escrowed payments, and moderation. Sprint demos ran on real devices so the founder could test the flow themselves every week, not just look at a Figma file.
What it included. Buyer/seller onboarding, listing creation with photo uploads, in-app chat, card payments with escrow release on delivery confirmation, and a review system to build trust between strangers transacting for the first time.
